Barebells has been making functional snacks and drinks since 2016, offering a wide range of protein-rich alternatives to conventional snacks, breakfast and desserts - without ever compromising on flavour. Barebells was founded in Sweden and quickly gained a market-leading position there. Today, Barebells is available in around 40 countries worldwide.

Unfortunately, we are not currently selling our Barebells clothing and merchandise. It is only made available to our ambassadors, athletes and team members.

As of January 1, 2024, dairy products are also included in the German deposit return system, including our milkshakes and Food Shakes. The deposit return system does not allow products with a German deposit to be sold to customers abroad, so customers in Austria can no longer order milkshakes and Food Shakes.

Just as important as supplying Germany with fantastic snacks is compensating for the CO2 emissions caused by transport and, beyond that, caring for the communities where we operate and the people who belong to them. We are constantly working to reduce our impact on the climate by keeping a close eye on everything from production, transport, storage, offices and business travel, to the waste created by our packaging. We offset the emissions that we have not yet been able to reduce through an emission-free renewable energy project in Hindustan, India. The project uses renewable natural resources, which leads to sustainable economic and environmental development. The project is certified by the UN Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) as well as the independent Gold Standard.

No, no Barebells product contains palm oil.

Physical activity causes higher protein consumption through increased muscle activity. Very strenuous physical activity can cause tiny micro-injuries in the muscle that need to be “repaired”. Proteins support the body both in growth and in the maintenance of muscle mass - that is why it is important to consume enough protein when you are physically active.

All Barebells bars contain nuts or may contain traces of nuts. This is also indicated on every package. Barebells milkshakes do not contain nuts.

Barebells bars may contain traces of gluten. Barebells Vegan Protein Bar Caramel Peanut contains wheat protein. Other Barebells products do not contain gluten.

All Barebells milkshakes are lactose free. Other products may contain traces of lactose. If in doubt, please always check the allergens on the relevant packaging.

Barebells vegan protein bars are completely vegan. We use soy, pea, wheat and rice as protein sources. All other Barebells products are not vegan.

No, Barebells protein bars are not kosher certified.

Which Barebells products are halal? With a few exceptions, Barebells protein bars are halal certified. Please note: Newly introduced flavours may still be in the certification process. Barebells milkshakes are all halal certified.

The shelf life of the products varies from product category to product category. The best before date is always printed on the outside of the packaging.

The nutrition information for the different ice cream varieties is shown on the respective packaging. In general, our ice cream bars have a significantly higher proportion of protein than regular ice cream. In addition, our ice cream products contain no added sugar.

Polydextrose is a food filler made from glucose. Polydextrose is included in Barebells ice cream as a source of fibre.

Barebells Whey Protein, Casein Protein, Clear Whey Protein and Vegan Protein are protein powders with no added sugar for those who want to increase their daily protein intake in a tasty and convenient way! The protein powders can be consumed as a shake mixed with water, or as puddings, in smoothies, pancakes or baked goods. They are conveniently packed in bags between 350-950 grams (14-27 servings) and can be stored at room temperature. All Barebells protein powders are (surprise!) high in protein, which contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.

Whey Protein is an easily soluble type of whey protein that can be mixed into a shake (with water or milk). It comes from whey protein and is known to be absorbed faster than, for example, Casein Protein.

Casein Protein, a type of whey protein, creates a rich and creamy texture when mixed. Casein can also easily be made into a protein pudding - simply mix with water! Due to its slower absorption rate compared to Whey Protein, casein is also known as a 'slow-release protein'. This makes Casein Protein an excellent choice for consumption before bedtime. Ultimately, however, your total daily protein intake is what counts!

Clear Whey Protein is a type of whey protein isolate that has been filtered more heavily than other protein types to achieve its clear, water-like properties. When mixed with water, Clear Whey lacks the milky taste and texture found in traditional whey and casein proteins, and therefore resembles a lemonade more than a traditional protein shake. This additional filtration results in fewer traces of fats and carbohydrates, a higher protein concentration and faster absorption.

Whey proteins naturally contain lactose. However, lactase is added to Barebells Whey Protein, Casein Protein and Clear Whey Protein to support lactose digestion. In addition, Barebells Vegan Protein is completely dairy free.

Yes, none of the Barebells protein powders contains nuts or traces of nuts. However, some other products (including protein bars) in the Barebells range contain nuts, so please check the nutrition label of each product before consuming it.

Yes, Barebells Whey Protein, Casein Protein and Clear Whey are lacto-vegetarian, just like Barebells milkshakes. Barebells Vegan Protein is completely plant based - and so are the vegan Barebells protein bars Caramel Peanut, Salty Peanut, Hazelnut Nougat & Chocolate Dough.

Our protein powders are currently not halal certified.

Barebells Vegan Protein Powder is made from pea protein isolate, which gives it a great taste and a slightly richer texture than regular protein shakes. It also contains all essential amino acids, making it a complete protein.

Barebells Whey Protein, Casein Protein, Clear Whey Protein and Vegan Protein are all gluten free. Barebells milkshakes and drink meals are also gluten free. However, Barebells protein bars may contain gluten or traces of gluten - please check each product label for specific allergens before consuming it.

Barebells protein powders contain no added sugar and are sweetened with the artificial sweeteners sucralose and acesulfame K.

We initially launched our protein powders in Germany, where they are available exclusively in the online shop from Jul 4, 2024.

Protein baking mixes contain a higher protein content than conventional baking mixes. They are specially developed to support muscle building and maintenance and are often formulated with no added sugar.

This varies depending on the product, but many contain between 27-30 g protein per 100 g baking mix - ideal for a high in protein diet.

Preparation is simple: Protein Pancakes: mix 120 g baking mix with 130 ml water or milk, cook in a frying pan until golden brown and enjoy. Protein Brownies: mix the baking mix with milk and oil, pour into a baking tin and bake in the oven. Your moist brownies are ready, or bake them quickly and easily in the microwave.

Yes! You can use them for waffles, muffins, protein cookies or even as a base for protein-rich cakes.

Most contain no added sugar, only naturally occurring sugars.

Definitely! Popular toppings and mix-ins are fresh berries, nut butter, Greek yoghurt, dark chocolate or honey.

Our mixes contain whey protein, so they are not vegan, but vegetarian.

Store them in a cool, dry place, preferably in an airtight container, to preserve freshness and quality.
